OG Nutrition is currently a fully virtual clinic. I can support all clients virtually throughout Ontario.

5. What is the difference between a registered dietitian and a nutritionist?

Registered dietitian is a protected title meaning we are lisenced under a regulatory body, such as The College of Dietitians of Ontario, under which I am licensed. Registered dietitians must complete a 4 year undergraduate program at an accredited university as well as an accredited masters or internship program at a university or hospital. We undergo routine examinations as well. Nutritionist is not a protected term, so it can be used by anyone.

6. Who can benefit from seeing a registered dietitian?

-If you have questions about your nutrition and how it relates to your overall health,

-if you are suffering from symptoms related to digestive health,

-if you want to manage a chronic condition or diagnosis with nutrition,

-if you follow a restricted diet due to allergy, intolerance, religion, or personal choice,

-if you want to learn about small changes you can make to improve your health,

registered dietitians can help.

8. How can you help with digestive issues like IBS or acid reflux?

I provide personalized nutrition plans and strategies to help manage symptoms of digestive issues like IBS and acid reflux. Together, we'll identify triggers and create a plan that works for your unique needs.

9. What is a non-diet approach to nutrition?

A non-diet approach focuses on building a positive relationship with food without restrictive dieting. It emphasizes listening to your body's needs, enjoying food, and prioritizing overall well-being over weight loss.
